The only way we can get true private sace travel is with tourism. Tourins is the purpose of the X-Prize and SpaceShipOne. The prize existed to show that there are people willing to pay to go into space. Everythign else was planned to be the result of feeding the needs of tourism.

They did it. THe X-Prize organization is already setting up an annual space race.

Just so you know, there is an X-Prize flight this Monday at 9 am EST. If the flight is succesful, we would offically have private space travel. Some companies are already trying to buy licenses for the craft design. According to the cable network's promos, the Science Channel is going to air...
