    Favorite fighter from WC3\4

I like the Dragon mostly because it's the first cloaked fighter we really get to fly. I mean, the Excalibur had the Shroud for the last mission; then Pliers tried his hand at modifying a BW ship for a few cloaks, but with the Dragon you had a genuine stealth fighter. I just wish your wingmen...

    Most shocking WC moment

Jazz wasn't a surprise to me because if you friendly fire him (with no enemies present) he's the only one that doesn't say something like "oh damn, you're the traitor!" -- I think he says "hey you're trying to kill me" instead. Not sure if anyone else noticed this. I had a LOT of time on my...

    (Something Like)Trivia

I'm not an advocate of P2 being "officially" part of WC either. There isn't a single correlating factor between the two universes save only the name Privateer. Hypothetically, if P2 was considered a WC game then you could make an argument for games like Freelancer. Here's an easier question...

    WC 2 Special Ops 1

The way I dodge the anti-matter flak is by locking onto the capship from far away, beyond normal target range. If you press F9 for ship view and keep pressing it till you get a view of your desired target, then press L to lock, your targ computer will be able to pick it up even though you're...

The Tiger's Claw exploding was indeed the background prelude to WC2 - hence the title "Vengeance of the Kilrathi..."

    Favorite Capship

Yeah, but compare attacking those carriers to any other in WC--they inflict the most damage during bombing runs.

    Favorite Fighter WC1 and 2

I hardly ever ran out of afterburner fluid....except in P2. You could run out after a couple of good burns...sucks

    Favorite Wingman?

The only possible explanation would be different WC versions. For example, many players mention that the Retros at the end of Righteous Fire are all armed with Steltek guns, but in my version they all have Fusion cannons. who knows..............

    Favorite fighter from WC3\4

They scaled down the Excaliburs in WC4 'cause the programmers knew they'd be too tough to beat if they were full WC3 strength. Playability must always be balanced...

Yeah, they shoulda given us control in SO1...if it were up to me I'd have blasted Thrak's pod in a nanosec...

    Favorite Wingman?

True enough--a fate worse than death... I don't think anyone aboard the Midway would be optimistic enough to assume a captured pilot was merely MIA. Like Maniac said

    Most shocking WC moment

I never completely understood the whole Hobbes overlay thing. It seems like too big of a gamble for Thrakhath to allow him to turn his coat and surrender a cruiser along with valuable military secrets that would set the Kilrathi war effort back significantly--after all, if it weren't for Hobbes...

    Most shocking WC moment

The book had it more accurate to me. In the game you could "listen to reason" and let Hobbes get away, but if that's the case Hobbes would've gotten back to Kilrah and warned them of the T-Bomb. The book stressed how important it was to not allow Hobbes to escape, and thus it made sense to...

    Nuke-Ems

Makes sense. Yet if the CIS is truly concerned about the pirate clans, they *certainly* wouldn't allow Nuke-Em's to be publicly available. I'd think the definition of "privateer" changed drastically after 700 years. In P1 (and P2, to an extent), privateers had the freedom of infinite...

    Most shocking WC moment

I wouldn't be surprised if this poll has been posted before, but what was the most shocking WC event/twist? Spirit commiting suicide (WC2) Jazz is discovered to be a traitor (WC2) Angel murdered (WC3) Hobbes was only a personality overlay (WC3) Ordered to shoot down Eisen &...

    Nuke-Ems

For all practical purposes, the Kilrathi do not exist in the world of Privateer 2, so this would not be a case of a Confed (who also don't exist FAPP) diversionary situation. The CIS could be loosely argued as the "governing authority," but in no way comparable to the military schema of the...

    Nuke-Ems

Is it me or were P2's Nuke-Ems a completely unrealistic piece of hardware to be available on the public market? And at only $4,000 a pop? Come on, now. This seems to be something added simply out of pity for poor privateers struggling at a navpoint where they've been fighting bogeys for two...
