    wc1 and wc2 in xp

I never had a problem getting them to work in XP. What error message are you getting?

    (Something Like)Trivia

The unique quality is that the two guns are aligned such that if one hits the target, the other is guaranteed to hit as well.

    Favorite Wingman?

If you decide not to defect with Vagabond, you fly several missions off the Lexington that "mirror" the ones you'd fly from the Intrepid. Seether - "One more thing, Colonel. I'd like to log in some flying time--I'll be one of those on your wing..."

    Favorite Fighter WC1 and 2

I always assumed the Epee was a newer fighter; I read something about that in either the WC2 manual or Joan's Fighting Spacecraft regarding ITTS on the newest ships.

    Favorite Wingman?

Favorite wingman quotes: Seether: "Damage? You must be joking..." Maniac: "Flying with me is starting to rub off on you!" Vaquero: "Eat sh!t and die, gato!"

    What is the Space Force?

    Blair? Can't be--he was a Colonel in WC3.

What happens to the cat daddy?

He was indeed passionate about the survival of mankind, but I believe he was more interested in being glorified as the SAVIOR of mankind -- him, and him alone. Most megalomaniacs start off with good intentions...and the road to hell is paved with em.

    So... why is there...

AFAIK you can edit the plot dialogue with any file editor (hex, for example.) The missions....doubt it, but I've been wrong before.

    Major Maniac

Maniac's not a bad flier in WC3 & 4 -- in fact, according to the WC4 Strategy Guide, he is one of the two best pilots in the game. (Can't remember who the other one was) As far as devotion to his duty, Marshall never seemed to grow out of that rookie...

    Most shocking WC moment

It's been so long I can't even remember the details. There was mention of two or three hidden/extra cinematic scenes, but from the looks of things all this was merely a rumor.

    Tiger's Claw death

Yup, along with: "Mercy went out the door along with my career ten years ago..."

    Hidden Privateer missions?

True enough. Or, maybe they deliberately put it in just to screw with our heads...why else would it be at the *end* of the file eh?? :D

    Repetitive music in KSaga: WC1

I never had a problem with the DOS version's music. Unfortunately, the oldest machine that I have is still too fast to run WC1, even with the slomo utilities.

    Hidden Privateer missions?

Gotcha. Though I figured they would've eliminated this from the CD version if it was already decided that it wouldn't be used in the disk version.

    Favorite fighter from WC3\4

That's what I said. If you use the pak at Ella, you can fly whatever ship you want since the pak's not an option, and the flashpak can only be mounted on the Dragon.

    Favorite Fighter WC1 and 2

I've never seen that reference before, though I do know the Victory is old as dirt. But even still, to my knowledge, the weaponry in WC3 was newer than WC2 (reaper and tachyon cannons, for example.) Perhaps all of the energy guns got a revision, thus, even on older fighters, the enhanced...

    Computer game quotes

I could've swore I just said this a couple posts ago. Oh well, one good turn deserves another. "I lost a bomb...do you have it?" - Chrono Ivan/Crazy Ivan in RA2

    Tiger's Claw death

I'd imagine that it's not the pilot's responsibility to handle the flight recorder. Hindsight is 20/20, so we look at the situation and say "sheesh, if Blair encountered something as unusual as stealth ships he should've made sure his proof was secure" -- but that's not normal protocol. Blair...

    Repetitive music in KSaga: WC1

This bug has driven me crazy for AGES. When I play Kilrathi Saga WC1, eventually the music will get stuck on the sequence that's usually played after you destroy the last enemy ship in a given waypoint. This sequence annoyingly loops continuously until I land on the Claw, and resumes everafter...

    Wing Commander 2 in WinXp

Drawing a portion of the fighter was one of many space-saving methods, since the game had to fit on a few 3 1/2 floppies. Details were shortchanged because no one envisioned the game being played over a decade later on astronomically faster machines. ::releases a nostalgic sigh reminiscing...
