I think that has something to do with inproper soundcard-setup. Look through priv/rf.cfg and make sure the .tre-files are loaded from the HD as well. Provided you have the .tre-files there, of course.

Well, config.sys and files=25 looks specifically DOS to me. And the only means of getting DOS on a WinXP-machine is, as far as I know (not that I'm an expert/guru or anything) is Virtual PC... :( I think there's a Sticky here somewhere with details on getting at least Privateer running in XP...
