Thats a decent PC, maybes the graphics card is old and that causes the lag? also you mention the audio repeats, then it could be sound card compatilibity possibly or audio acceleration......i dunno just some ideas

No its the exact same version. To be honest I have lost interest in continuing the project and I don't think any improvements will be made.

i got my family to watch it too but they aren't into wing commander so can't get much of an opinion out of them

it sounds like the source files have been moved or deleted or renamed. Perhaps you should double check the files?

Er well my processor is sempron 2400+ (1.67ghz), i have 768mb of ram is that makes much difference, the only other thing that could be worth mentioning is my graphics card is radeon 9600

I don't use dosbox, that ran my wing commander too slow. I've been using windows virtual pc. Fraps just locks up.

I hope this helps... Theres a few easy ways and an odd way that I know. As mentioned before, use a decent graphics card that has an S-Video output and send it to a VCR or DVR to record video of the mission briefing and ingame flight. Then it can be transported back through a TV card (VCR) or...
