    Engine Flame Red or Blue?

Try messing about with a Bunsen burner, when the burner is closed you get the yellow flame, open it and you get the oxygen and the hotter blue flame. Of course, the flame does vary due to what you burn, especially if you stick other elements into the hydrocarbons, or indeed, don't use a...

    Casper Van Dien?

LeHah, when I said financial reasons, I meant the studio wanted to make more money from the film by making it less depressing/confusing, not that the film would cost more to produce. Didn't make that quite clear, sorry. It was withheld for, what was it, a year or so, because of the artistic...

    Engine Flame Red or Blue?

No, it's just silly. And so far, all of the exhausts have been alright imho. LOAF's fruit and veg one was top though;)

    Casper Van Dien?

LOAF, a lot of the time it's not the director who has the final say in the matter. The studios are too happy to mess with the movie, usually for purely financial reasons. Look at what happened with Brazil for instance:( edit: Although that wasn't for censorship reasons, just they didn't...

    A bit of amusement...

Gives the games more replay value. And means that if you decide to cheat your way through the game you'll miss out on some good stuff. And sometimes they allow you to improve your playing skills - as you'd probably need some help.

    My attempt at a Bengal

    Sorry, regards Dka;)

    My attempt at a Bengal

I'm just guessing here, but would the nought/naught be derived from naut, as in nautical? Dread meaning it inspires fear and/or awe. So by that, we'd end up with a big, scary ship, which is, as you point out Pheonix, rather ambiguous.

    My attempt at a Bengal

From the Oxford Reference Suite: dreadnought, thick cloth, battleship, not -naught So dreadnought can mean any battleship. Doesn't narrow it down too much does it?

Did Confed ever return to Repleetah?

Yes, and you'll notice that a lot of that had a WW1 style trench feel to it too.

A couple of weird, and probably stupid, questions.

EA still own the copyright on SO, so if you offered it for download without their authorisation, you'd be infringing on that. I'd think twice before offering the demo version even.

Malcolm McDowell was on Politically Incorrect

Exactly. The purpose of most movies is to tell a story. Most games have simpler stories in comparison. How much would WC4 have cost if it's storyline was as complex as the average movie? Keeping in the interactive parts, there would be much more video footage. And one other thing, some...

    A bit of amusement...

I was referring to how you handled yourself during the end sequences for WC3 & 4 Penguin. Your plan for destroying the wormhole and the fleet would have been a lot bigger victory for Casey and a the Midway, but hey, it's a game, it's supposed to be awkward.

    Blair Thoughts

True, the state on unrest within the Kilrathi would make any politics with them very difficult, regardless of who they were dealing with.

Did Confed ever return to Repleetah?

I think that is pretty much the point of the Repleetah conflict - the planet and the troops were abandoned by both sides, when they could have easily been victorious had they brought in some spacial forces.

    WCIII: Strange flying!

Yeah, I found that out pretty soon but it still doesn't feel anywhere near as good as an analogue stick.

    A bit of amusement...

Penguin, maybe you're just not the heroic type?;)

    Blair Thoughts

The Kilrathi might actually respect Paladin, as he was a friend of Blair. And he did have a reputation as a pilot and warrior, which the cats would respect somewhat (more than they would someone who was a career politician anyway).

Malcolm McDowell was on Politically Incorrect

For a sci-fi computer game, the plot of WC4 isn't that bad. Compare it with a proper movie though and it probably wouldn't stand up.

One Little Question (Which is sure to make me look stupid)

Travelling across Asia and all of those battles (and injuries) didn't do Alexander's life expectancy any favours. But I think we should remember that it's only fairly recently that life expectancy has reached the 70-ish point (due to modern medicine and all that).

    WCIII: Strange flying!

For some reason my joystick wouldn't work on WC3, so I had to disconnect it and use keys, which I found really awkward and that seemed really sluggish to begin with.
