    Well Balanced

The Arrow isn't a balanced fighter - it's fast and nimble with light weaponry. In a real situation you wouldn't want to take on too many enemies or anything too heavy.

    Ejection pods

A lot of the time when you did eject, you'd get captured and killed anyway. I'd rather go down fighting and take as many of them with me as possible.

    Dralthi?

It's just not good enough at anything. I suppose it might be ok for novices, but a lot of people prefer either better guns or more speed and agility.

    Academy Art

D'oh! I knew it'd be something like that. Damn the lack of search functions... or me even reading down that little bit more

    Maniac's Home of Record

You wouldn't get too much on Vagabond anyway, due to his Black-Ops background. Flash wasn't really an interesting character, someone who really didn't want to be where he was (on the front lines that is).

    Academy Art

Wasn't there a thread a couple of days ago where it went on about Acadamy originally being an add-on for WC2?

if you had a kilrathi dreadnought and a few trillion credits?

Some sort of high rate laser set up could do the trick.

    Maniac's Home of Record

There's a lot of good information in the book, but only those involved in Prophecy in some way (so no Paladin, Eisen or Tolwyn). Worth splashing out a few quid/bucks on though.

    Whatever Happened to...?

Plenty of time for a comm tech to show his command abilities in times of need.

    Fleet Action -> Kilrathi dreadnoughts

He showed a superior knowledge of the way humans thought and fought than most Kilrathi.

    Well Balanced

The Hellcat was quite poorly balanced imho, not particularly good at anything, I'd prefer something heavier or lighter. So the Excal gets it for me. Would the Dragon make this list as well? Is it too powerful to be considered well balanced?

    Whatever Happened to...?

Especially when you consider the length of Eisen's career. By the time of WC3 he is quite old, like the Victory.

    Maniac's Home of Record

Re: Blair being smaller According to the Prophecy guide Maniac was quite the athlete in his younger days, where it mentions his size and speed serving him well in school sports.

    Maniac's Home of Record

I got End Run for £2, Prophecy Guide for £3.50, both on Yahoo auctions UK, not too bad. Another good reason to get the Prophecy Guide - some conceptual art by Syd Mead.

    Maniac's Home of Record

Well I got hold of the guides for WC4 and WCP after I completed the games. Why? Nice to have something to read about the games, little insights into the games and things like that. And they're not on a computer screen, which is nice to see sometimes.

    Blair in Freedom Flight

I suppose I was thinking because Guon worked on WC scripts, she might have had a bit of inside knowledge, so to speak. I'm no expert but it seems a bit silly to me to have a script where the lead character is called "you" or "the player" or "the character" or something similar.

    Maniac's Home of Record

My theory on Maniac's wives - he tried it on with every woman he could find, until one said yes. Pretty much his style:)

    My Tolwyn Essay

Thrakhath is certainly not portrayed as stupid in the books I've read, rather one of the more intelligent Kilrathi. A fine understanding of politics is not something you'd expect from a warrior.

    Blair in Freedom Flight

The fact that an a character who has no real point being in the story actually gets a name raises the suspicions. Is it a reference to teh games or a coincedence. It seems quite likely that Blair may have been given that name before WC development, even if it were an un-official name.

    Engine Flame Red or Blue?

Yes, that's because all of the fuel gets burnt in a far smaller space. The yellow flame contains fuel that isn't burnt immediately, hence the larger flame. They both give out the same amount of energy, just the yellow flame is spread out over a wider area.
