When will new WC game be out in stores? Part I

Reply to Shane & Penguin Shane: Part os what he was talking about sounded like parts of Fleet Action. CB: I was referring to Fleet Action's Battle for Earth. I was not imposing that civillians do kamikazes, just program their ships to autokamikaze Thrak's ships. Penguin: That's why...

When will new WC game be out in stores? Part I

When will new WC game be out in stores? Part II Then we need other types of units -- like mecha units for general support (like for boarding actions). I'd love to take a shuttle and deliver a few mechas onto the hull of a ship and let them hack it to pieces. And then have the civillian craft...

When will new WC game be out in stores? Part I

Origins needs to make a new WC game. It could be based on Forstchen's novel Fleet Action. The game should let the players design their own fleets and how they're constructed. For example, I had designed a type of "bopper" transit drive -- it uses 2 parallel balls that are shot crosswize away...

    What happend to Flash

In PS version of WC3, you can have a wingman When playing WC3 on the Sony PlayStation it is possible to have a wingman when you fight Thrakhath. Before you cloak, you encounter a guy named Stalker (he's piloting a Stranka). You should have a wingman. Do not cloak until you're real far away...

    Wing Commander Overlooked?

I don't mean to be offensive or anything, but one thing you must remember is that the United States (as compared to other countries in the world) lacks a great deal in its education in quality of acting, grammar, math, and science. Many people aren't as educated in those studies -- a survey at...

    Wing Commander Overlooked?

What you should do is write to the History Channel (search for it on interent) and offer your opinions to them. Tell them about Wing Commander and many of the other extremely programmed games out there.

    Salvaging fighters and capships

Anagram, in WC IV you can leech capital ships. I prefer to use the leech guns whenever possible instead of missiles -- I save the missiles for the fighters and even then I use the leech pilotguns.

Lucid and Netdreaming for Role Playing Games

WildWeasel, search for "Lucidity Institute". It'll tell you how to have lucid WC dreams.

    Wing Commander reality

DeltaKiller, glad you brought this up. No you're not crazy (in an insane sense) but rather in an extreme sense. Without rational extremeness (not the Tolwyn/Border World Conflict) but disciplined preparedness for humanity to use to train with, humanity will be less prepared for when it needs...

    Fission or Leech Laser?

"Which would you rather have for a special gun and why?" I first wanted to reply to this Q with a smart alek retort like "Don't matter, I'll be reprogramming the game anyway", but I guess I choose the leech -- it's good to work with because it helps to develop one's ability to take down a...

    Wing Commander Mod for Homeworld...

Combine the best (the only?) 3-D strategy game with the best space combat sim ever! It takes an uncommon mind You mean like mine? Give each ship the ability to cloak, whole bunches of guns and batteries and turrets, building space stations, the salvage corvettes could work as Marine...

    Leagacy of his old man...

I think what really got to Tolwyn was when he lost Behemoth. He wanted so much to exact revenge on the Kilrathi for taking his family. I'm not certain if Tolwyn would've been satisfied if got to bomb Kilrah. I also think the Behemoth loss is what drove Tolwyn to stop believing in God, because...

Tolwyn's game within a game within a game

"I'm not sure, but I think that BL was created inside the Belisarius by Tolwyn, so he could stop them from taking over the government. Instead he used them against the BW." In The Price of Freedom, Tolywn says, "I have heard that some of you have had qualms about delivering the...

another episode of need help in WC3

In WC3. You cloak after you get away from contact with a Stranka fighter -- the pilot's name is Stalker. Have Flint break and attack him, you are the decoy and should go to the next navpoint manually -- do not use autopilot. 2 minutes after your autopilot lights turn on (or after you are a...

List your school projects related to WC

Oh, there was another project I forgot to mention, it was a fan-fic of a sortie Maniac and I did. In College Prep English class, we each were given random phrases to write about how they related to our lives. As luck would have it, mine was "Now in Sight". Well, I had played WCI, the night...

List your school projects related to WC

My first project was an Art I chalk drawing of Spirit from WCI. Got an A on it. My second project was a Rapier fighter in electronics also based on WCI's Rapier. I used LEGO bricks for the fighter and a parallel pair of pulsating LEDs for the lasers and a light in back for expended thrust...
