    Lorddarthvik, show us some more progress when you return! :D I think the thing you need to work on most is your lighting. It'll help build the mood and setting for your animation as well.

    Well you're right, the bump map strength is quite high, but the low resolution is the cause of the jagged panel lines on the hull. If the bump map strength were decreased, the jagged lines would be less apparent. In any case, if this is going to be animated, we're probably not going to notice...

    Normally you'd want to choose a good resolution so that the closest you will ever get in your animation, the texture will look perfect. If the bump mapping is your problem, perhaps you've set the bump mapping strength too high? Turn on super sampling and see if that helps. It'll fix some of...

    Ahhh, okay that makes sense. It's too bad though, cuz I'm sure the capships would rock with your texturing jobs! I wish there was some other way to make less repetitive textures though... As for Raiders, I will still be working on it... I'm just so busy this summer trying to make some $$$$...

    Try using higher res textures to help get rid of those aliasing problems you have. :) If you're going to have close-ups, you should try that.

    Eder, why not have custom textures for each cap ship like you have them for fighters? They'll probably look a lot better than those uber-repetitive hull panels. :)

    Well the Ships Database here at the CIC says it has 15 laser turrets--so I gave it two AMGs because there are two turrets that are way bigger in the game model on the top and bottom, so I interpreted them as AMGs.

    Yeah, so true. :) Oh well, I was just curious mainly--I don't plan on animating those guns firing (that is if I don't plan on doing those flashback scenes) though so it doesn't really matter... ;)
