My suggestion for the registration numbers would be to emulate modern-day aircraft. With a base number and/or abbreviation for the carrier name and a fighter production number. At least that's what I think modern aircraft have... uh yeah. Like this. :D I hope you're not modelling a...

That looks awesome! But I think it needs more numbers and letters all over that thing... :D Modern aircraft have all sorts of decals and registration numbers, etc. Oh yeah, don't forget the squadron logo which is near the cockpit. ;) Maybe this Hornet is from the Killer Bees? Hey...

Again, it's lookin amazing! ;) I can't wait to see the textures with detail! You still have segmentation at the ends of the wings and on the curves near the engine. Was that intentional?

The landing animations seem very jolty at the end... I'm sure if a human were piloting that thing, they'd probably come in quite a bit slower, smoother, and hover and sway a bit before setting down gently. Stupid automatic landing computers!
