It IS the same type of cannon! Or whatever. I just took a closer look at the Fralthi II's "gun" and it's a red version of the same texture on the Tallahassee. Maybe the Kilrathi invented it and Confed copied it, or the other way around. A less-powerful phase-transit cannon perhaps?

Nope, the Kilrathi engine intakes are blue just like the Confed ones, but instead of looking like cinder blocks they look like crosses.

I just noticed the Fralthi II-class Kilrathi cruiser has a big gun as well... maybe if I do that flashback scene I'll have the Confed and Kilrathi cruisers having a slugmatch with those things lol.

So much frigging work needs to be done for it... I say in a year. I haven't even rewritten that script I'm supposed to rewrite. Heh, but if modeling continues to progress smoothly as it is now, I can do some minimal animation this summer.

Actually, the raiders will appear out of nowhere. :) Stealth fighters you see... zipping in and out of stealth, with lightning efficiency. The destroyed Kilrathi fleet is composed of 2 cruisers and a heavy destroyer, the Confed battle group being 1 carrier 1 cruiser and 2 destroyers...

I tried it textured way more blue earlier... somehow that one didn't look quite right but I wasn't sure why.

By comparing with the screenshots found in the ship database section your textures seem to have much higher contrast (I guess it's been said before). You might want to consider toning down the panel textures a bit... like a lot... :)

I came up with a compromise. A mostly grey hull with some blue stripes here and there. I think it'll hold up quite nicely beside a Ranger-class carrier. I also added the Confederation star to the engines as it is in WC4 (however this isn't supposed to be during WC4)

Yeah they look kind of better all plain, but a bit of blue paint helps make the fighters fit in more into the setting, otherwise they'll look strange having unpainted cap ships with painted fighters flying around. Also, having some colour on them will help make them identifiable amidst the debris.

Some texture work... I'm trying to spoof up the paint job but still keep it WC3-looking. Anybody got any ideas?

A shark mouth on a Kilrathi ship? What the. I thought that form of decoration was only on human ships.
