There is a "find" key that let's you enter where you want to go (including nav points) and then plots the shortest way automatically... so why is it a pain to play without a map?

Well, when using win9x with NT or 2K separately on one hard disc it was always best (my experience) to first install win9x on the first half and then select the second (unpartioned) half for NT/2K... then there was automatically created a boot menu my NT/2K and I never had any problems... don't...

IIRC there is no starmap included in any p2 package... neither is one (containing the systems you can reach in p2) available online AFAIK... but if you're lucky I'm wrong about this :D

Wow, that must have been very frustating... and of course much worse than what happened to me... since I have the DOS version, too, the manuals were no problem... but surely Software Savings should have mentioned it that the manuals are not english, because who would expect "non-english"...

I agree on most of that, but there were and I'm sure there will again be games that almost reach the same level... I mean, I don't think any game ever will... but they try... :) first example: Strike Commander... a great story, great graphics (at that time) but the add-on was too difficult...

I got bored of SL a long time ago... when my (at least) 50th attempt to complete the final mission failed :mad: The only games I remember in which I had to play the last mission so often were "TOP GUN: Fire at will" and WC2... but at least, I made it in both cases after 40-50 attempts... but...
