    The WC Icon

Download the manual for Wing Commander Arena and check out page 16 (pages 28 & 29 if you go by the numbers on the corners). It has silhouettes and short write-ups of most of the Dralthi family. As for their appearances... KF-100 Dralthi - The movie. Dralthi - The original game. Dralthi Mk. II -...

    WC Squadrons

I don't think so. Might've been interesting, though. I like how in BattleTech the Black Watch is still around.

    The WC Icon

*scratches head* Were the KF-100's from the movie, or were they just mentioned and never seen?

How do I fire torpedoes on WC2?

Since CTRL + F12 increases the number of cycles, you could try setting the cycles higher in the first place in your dosbox.conf file. Go to where it says "cycles=" and replace the default value (it'll be set to "auto" in the newer versions of DOSBox), then save the config. I haven't played WC2...

How do I fire torpedoes on WC2?

You're doing the right thing, you just have to remember that torpedoes can only be fired at big stuff like capital ships and installations, not fighters. If you're locked onto an appropriate target, the music with change and a targeting reticule will steadily align itself with what you want to...

    Best series of Confed fighters

It's worth mentioning that while the Raptor's cream of the crop in PC WC1, a couple of the changes made to game mechanics for the SNES port (laser refire, speed damage) make the Rapier come out on top there. Anyway, I voted for WC2. Lots of fighters, lots of personality.

Wing Commander II Enigma campaign with SO

Speaking of hitting Earth through Enigma, how is jumping in that sector supposed to work? In WC2, Angel says it's possible to cross the entire sector in one leap, but on the Prophecy universe map there aren't any unusually long jump lines that allow this. Can some jump points be bypassed there...

    McAuliffe system

You're right, "Vikyah" is from Action Stations, but it doesn't imply the planet fell to the Kilrathi. The intercepted Kilrathi message about the McAuliffe Ambush refers to "Target Vikyah." It's apparently the Kilrathi word or code-word for McAuliffe, or (less likely) specific facilities there.

    Kilrathi Saga bad rap?

Vista's not bad after you spend a little time tweaking it. Though it eats a lot more resources than XP, in my experience it's been significantly stabler. The Kilrathi Saga has bugs, but the full-screen cockpit-free view alone makes it worthwhile. The tiny peep show displays the original...

    Very quick wc2 question

Practically nothing Tolwyn says or does in WC2 makes any sense. He's a ridiculous caricature. Jalkei are trouble sometimes when they show up five at a time, but yeah, otherwise they're big slow targets, and the armaments isn't as intimidating as their predecessor's.

WC3 KSaga Patch - for Movie Crashing bug

Holy shit! This is awesome! You're awesome! I can't believe someone actually fixed one of the most persistent bugs this game has on modern operating systems. It worked perfectly as far as I could test (my game started after a while, but that doesn't have anything to do with your patch). Thanks!

    Bonnie Heather

Would have been a nice ship to keep around, it being invincible and all.

    Maniacs "Execution

As far as summary execution goes, that's only permitted (in modern militaries) when there's no other alternative. The Das Boot situation is a good example, or if some soldiers are on a covert mission and one of them starts shouting "hey, we're over here!" This is exacerbated in times of war. In...

To ALL members here just want to say..

No, "The Secret Missions" for SNES doesn't include anything from SM2. It has an intro with Admiral Gilkarg that the PC version lacks, though. Just to clarify the names of the add-ons... "Wing Commander" has two, "The Secret Missions" and "The Secret Missions 2: Crusade." "Wing Commander II...

    Kilrathi saga downloads...

In XP, Secret Missions and Secret Missions 2 should work if you set them to Windows 95 compatibility. In Vista, however, I don't know of any way to get those add-ons to function.

    Snakeir patch for Kilrathi Saga

I was wondering if anyone had a mirror of the patch to restore weapons to the Snakeir carriers in Secret Missions 2 for The Kilrathi Saga. WC Revival doesn't have their download section online anymore, and a forum search doesn't turn up much besides the thread for the news article.
