    How do flak-cannons work?

I always thought they were kinetic weapons. Shells fused for vaious distances, filled with sharapnel. Or perhaps through the magic of targeting computers, automatically fused for the correct range.

    Dragon*Con 2002

Gee, and all I did this summer was work on a photo portfolio, that within two years will make me a shoe-in at any newspaper in the western world.

Any idea where I can find

Ugh, raccoon eyes. Somebody get some fill flash in there before I get sick. Some color saturation would also be nice.

    WC Military Inaccuracies

Mostairframes can, with proper maintinence, last for around forty years easily. Hell, there are still DC3's hauling passengers and cargo out there.

    Who's hottest?

Bah, anybody can do that with a hazy light. Shadows man! Emotion! But then again, if I was in a sudio with her, my mind would be on other things too.

    One Ship Challenge

"Fighter pilots make movies, attack pilots make history. " In WC4 I'd go with the Avanger. I love the dual Stormfires.

    What would you fight for?

Remember, your own govornment can be as great a threat to frrdom as any foreign power. What Thomas Jefferson meant when he said that, is that the people must be vigilant against the govornment overstepping its bounds. Which is more important "security" or liberty?

    What would you fight for?

What (aside from the survival of your species) could make you strap on a fighter and hit the void? Would it be a picture of your girlfrind or wife taped to your console that your eyes find before that last missile hits? Your family? What is worth the sacrifice?

Could Tolwyn Be Compaired to Hitler?

A german pilot defected to the USSR just a week before fighting broke out. He warned his Russian captors, but his warnings were dismissed by Stalin as, "The ravings of a traitor trying to save his neck." About a week later the Wermacht war merrily thrashing the Red Army. Apparently the...

Could Tolwyn Be Compaired to Hitler?

Tolwyn can be compared to Hitler. So can any other mass murderer. Nobody mentioned Mao. Or Pol Pot. Can't forget those examples of misplaced rage either. Or for that matter Ivan the terrible, and Ghangis Kahn. Anyone else want to add to the list? Finally-the Jewboy could find a...

Could Tolwyn Be Compaired to Hitler?

The Bavarian Corporal, yup, no military genius. Of course if Stalin hadn't shot all his good officers the Bavarian Corporal's troops never would have gotten within sight of Moscow.

    Party Time!

Actually, yes. I will be picking up my hot girlfriend from her shitty job, after having spent the entire day at a festival doing my photographer thing. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go the equipment cage draw my gear. (Yea, I saw the "j/k," I just can't resist the opportunity to...

    Hand held weapons

Ok, for the first time I'm going to cross universes, but it's on the topic. In the Babylon 5 Universe ship board forces use plasma based weapons, whic have little kinetic impact and take a looooong time to burn through a bulkhead. Ground based forces still use mass drive rounds for their...

    Hand held weapons

I'd think it would be the oposite. I wouldn't want kinetics ricocheting on the inside of a ship until they hit something vital. In the books it is mentioned the Marines used miniguns, and flechette launchers in their assaults on the Kitty supercarriers. I guess as long a the ricochets are...

    Classification of TCS Eisen

I remember hearing about an instance at the battle of Leyte GUlf , when Japanese ships engaged some CVE's inflicting little damage, because the CVE's didn't have enough armor to detonate the incomeing shells. Interesting note: one of my managers fathers flew off of the USS Santee, the CVE...
