    new question

My greatest problem when playing the SNES version of WC was the distance perception. One second, the enemy fighter looks like a distant point in the horizon. Then, I afterburn after it, and, all of a sudden, it becomes a BIG ship, right in front of my nose, at optimal distance for frequent...

    My Privateer Thread

Or, I should say, a secret route from Eden. Sorry I can't remember much more, but I only traversed through it once, on the last time I played RF... Didn't have the time to check up for any plot implications of it. It could well be a bug, too...

    My Privateer Thread

Well, not exactly! What I do remember was the existance of a non-mapped jumppoint within Eden that leads to another system (that is on the map, but I can't remember wich). It's more like a secret route to Eden than a secret place.

    Cockpits

I loved the cockpit frames! My favored cockpit of all times was the Dralthi cockpit from SM2 - Crusade. I loved those descriptions of the displays written in tapes strapped over the panel!!! :D

    Hilarious WC moment

I remember flying with Doomsday in WC2 in Broadswords. He CONSTANTLY repeated "Oh, I hate when you do that" every single time we entered combat, to the point I started to order radio silence just after take-off in every mission with him. Is that my imagination, or did my turret gunners hold...

    My Privateer Thread

Ditto! :D Geez, every time I post on this thread a realize even more how long has it been since I played Priv and RF by the last time... I remember finding a "secret" jumppoint (it didn't appear in any maps) somewhere near the asteroid field where you fight the last battle against that...

    Hilarious WC moment

This is not exacttly hilarious, but was very fun. I was playing WC2 (or one of the SOs, I don't remember) and then I was attacked alone by a wing of Strakha stealth fighters. I took them up one by one, but the last one was allways cloacking just before I could catch him on my sights. Then, I...

The WC games that never were

And then I've been thinking about a possible good end for this anternate reality. Well, our fleet could find one of the technicians that worked on the production of the (then) failed Tremblor Bomb. Now, they'll try the same thing again, rebuilding the T-bomb from blueprints, sneaking into...

    My Privateer Thread

I remember being intercepted by a pair of Dralthi in my very first mission! It took me a lotta time and work to kill them with my totally undergunned Tarsus (and they almost did that to me!!). As far as I remember, this was the only time I had so much trouble with the Flying Pancakes (usually...

The WC games that never were

A "WC game that never were" that I'd REALLY like to play would be some "alter-reality" sequel to the bad end of WC 3. Earth was conquered, but the Kilrathi still have to sweep across all over Confed territories to total the human race. Humans would hardly surrender after the fall of Earth -...

    WCIII for PSX

The third one is Colony Wars: Red Sun. It takes place at the same time as Vengeance, and you play as a merc pilot. Actually, it remembers me a bit of Privateer! It's interesting that, as a merc, you can fight for both sides of a conflict! :Þ One day, Unisoft hires you to raze a Dirty Warriors...

    Hilarious WC moment

Hi! Just got into the forum, and this is my first post! My most hilarious moment in Wing Commander happened just this weekend, in WC3. As I was flying a rescue mission alone in Locanda, I was intercepted by a Corvette, escorted by a pair of Vaktoths... I slowly aproached the enemies...
