I'm currently playing the beta of dso and I have to admit: it's quite fun :) Not as good as privateer (and no game will ever be ;) ) but it's definately worth a look. :) I think I'll get the retail version when it's out.

looking sweet :) One question: There's no antialiasing applied to the model so i guess it's an ingame shot? Or is it a quick render? Well, if it actually IS a shot taken in your engine => kick-ass! :D And if it's "just" a quick render => kicks-ass anyway ;) I really like the style...

nice modeling m8 . It definitly has the WC flair if you ask me :) well can't help you that much, but you could add some metal plates ,unnatural holes, or pipes to the main body. Some bump- and dirt-maps would look good, too, i think :) have a look at the pictures to see what i mean :)...
