    Rygannon mission bugs

the cat reception is definitely too much... i survived (in a fully-loaded centurion) by leaning on burners, executing a lot of evasives, and leading them into the rocks. most of them died by hitting rocks or each other, and the last couple died under my tachs and torpedos.

Can We Have A Sticky Thread For All Known Bugs?

    3) is probably an outgrowth of the way the economics are handled - the "what goods are for sale and in what quantities" data appears to be generated at program runtime... neither saved when you save nor loaded when you load a save. this leads to little exploits like the one you describe...

    on transitioning to RF...

having just beat the original campaign, i thought i'd drop in a few thoughts on the transition to the RF campaign, which right now strikes me as a problem. specifically: there's one heck of a game over feeling after returning to perry post-killing the almighty glowing green egg o' death. you...

bug reports: mission enemies not hostile, weird damage effects

had this problem in all the oxford missions and now the palan/murphy ones - mission enemies aren't marked hostile. in the oxford missions, this wasn't much of a problem, just meant i couldn't use H to target the bandits until i killed one or two. now in palan/murphy 1, i'm intercepting...

    Most aggravating WC mission

Back to the topic, I don't find Kurasawa 2 that annoying for the simple reason that losing it doesn't end the game for you. Yeah, you get sentenced to rock hell in Rostov, but you've got Iceman on your wing and a Raptor strapped to you - and you're still flying. The really annoying ones are...

How do I get it to you? The board won't let me attach it to a post.

    Number of Kills

194 possibles on the path I took - I failed Kurasawa, we all know why. As far as wingmen, I sent them home as soon as they'd listen, just to keep them alive to talk to me in the bar. There were times when I replayed a mission not because I failed it, but because my wingman bit...

    SNES WC1 oddity

So I'm playing the SNES version of Wing 1. I got to McAuliffe 3, flying Scims with Paladin to go out and meet a sport and bring it home. On the way back, we meet Bhurak Starkiller leading a wing of Salthi. As soon as the last one was iced, I got the Tiger's Claw destroyed / "With your...

    fave quote from wc

Can't believe no one cited these two. Iceman, SM2: "You're expecting us to go into combat in one of the Flying Pancakes, sir?" And from WC2: Angel: "[Y]ou, Jazz, and you, Stingray [...] will escort the garbage shuttle to the asteroids." Stingray: "Colonel!" Angel: "That’s your...

    Number of Kills

On my most recent playthrough (Kilrathi Saga, last August) here are the numbers: Wing Commander I: 159 kills; that's 26 Salthi, 34 Dralthi, 40 Krant, 23 Gratha, 22 Jalthi, 4 Dorkir, 4 Ralari, 3 Fralthi and one Starbase. Secret Missions I: 223 kills; that's 22 Salthi, 12 Dralthi, 64 Krant...

    Fleet Action questions

Beg to differ. WC2-Tolwyn was a jerk, yes. To Blair. And remember, at this point, because of the Tiger's Claw, Chris Blair is a pariah; Tolwyn isn't just being a jerk for the hell of it, he thinks Blair betrayed the Claw and he's acting accordingly. Remember what he said to Paladin: "You...
