Someone has probably thought of this, but when your hauling contraband in Privateer and the Militia/Confed say that their going to scan you for contraband, I usually dump my cargo and then when they say that I'm clear, tractor it in. Does anyone else have any other ideas for getting past...

I beleive it was released early in 2000 or late 1999. I don't think that they are selling it anymore. I was lucky to get my copy, if you go to ebay.com you should be able to find it on there.

I got it working then, I downloaded the dos drivers for the sound card, which had a program to activate the sound card and gameport when in dos. Thanks for the help Ghost

Ok, I now have an old 100 Mhz pentium with a gameport built into the sound card, I've added set blaster-a220 i5 d1 into my autoexec.bat and i am still having trouble getting it to detect my joystick. Does anyone have anymore advice??? Thanks

Does having a game port that is not connected to a sound card cause any problems in Privateer as far as joystick detection. I have an old dos joystick and everytime that I boot into DOS to play Privateer, it doesn't detect my joystick and I get blown to bits when I try to use the keyboard...

Another good store, if it's in your areaaa, is Eloctronics Boutique. They have alot of used software for 5-10 dollars

It's an old PC commander, I got it from K-Mart. It worked in Privateer before. I also tryed using a saitek cyborg, which is not digital and I got the same thing.

When I go into Privateer 1 and try to get my DOS joystick, the game does not see it. I tried making sure, for some stupid reason, that it is setup correctly in windows before I reboot in DOS. If anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated. Tnaks
