Well, I just turned 50 in Feb - so I guess that places me as one of the oldest here ~~~

I just had exactly the same symptoms when trying to run SM2. However, I just realised I was using the SM2.exe that was in the unzipped folder, and not the correct one which was in WC1 folder. Changed my shortcut to the one in the WC1 folder and now it works properly ! Hope this helps .

I bought Syndicate after a few friends told me it was a "great" game. Personally, I tried it a few times but could never really get into it. The game finally ended up in the bin :D

I took a look at all the posts - dont think I can compete with some of the writings there - they way too good !! Do you guys take notes while playing the game or something ?? I can never remember what I did in a particular mission - way too busy avoiding asteroids or killing cats :-)

I've just started the Gimle missions btw - 6 missions 27 kills so far, 1 gold star and a few bronze ones :-)

Well, thanks to the info posted in these forums, I was able to play for the first time in years. No issues so far with sound, joystick or anything else. Was able to complete the first few missions, and was awarded a Bronze Star after protecting transport to the jump point. At the moment...

Its OK - I found a d/l copy of the "Tiger Claw" !! Off to thrash a few Kilrathi before dinner ~~~ !

Amazingly I have the blueprints - its just the manual I cant find :-(
