Is Vagabond supposed to die?
There is no way to save Vagabond.

Can I choose not to defect and keep flying for Confed?
It is not possible to stay with Confed. You will have 2 chances to join the Border Worlds. Things aren't right in Confed and the Border Worlds need your help.

How do I use my Leech Guns?
The Border Worlds craft all have Leech Guns. To use them, press "H" and look at the Weapon Display in your HUD. You may have to hit "G" to switch to the Leech Guns. Press "H" again to go to back to your normal guns.

I can't complete the Comm Station mission, the Intrepid just keeps blowing up!
1. Load your ship with Leech missiles.
2. Take off from you ship. Cloak immediately.
3. Arm 1 torpedo on your ship. Autopilot. You will arrive at the Communication Center.
4. Once there, hit "T" to cycle through your targets and find the satellite that will warn the enemies of your presence.
5. Once you find it, lock your torpedo on it and head directly for it. At 1000 clicks, decloak and fire your torpedo.
6. Immediately arm your MIP's and turn until you are headed for the Communication Center. Afterburn towards the center and at 1500 clicks fire your MIP's.
7. Immediately arm your Leech missiles. At this time enemy Hellcats should be coming for you. Fire your Leech missiles at any range and disable the Hellcats. Be sure to destroy them.
8. You will see the movie saying that Sosa is ready for pickup. Once you have killed the Hellcats, adjust your ship's power settings. Keep your engines at normal power and then shift all power (75%) into your shields. This way your shields will be so strong that the laser turrets will not penetrate.
9. Hit "CTRL-S" to disengage SmartTargeting, which will allow you to find Sosa. Hit "T" to cycle through your targets and locate her.
10. Once you find her, head towards her and stop at 100 clicks. Pull back on the joystick to flip your ship over and face directly away from her. Switch to your rear turret and hit "G" for guns. A small white circle should appear around her. Hold down the space bar and tractor her in. Your mission should now be complete. Head for home.

I am supposed to attack this "Special" transport but I keep failing the mission.
This transport is critical to the success of your game. You must fly in and disable the Transport using Leech Guns or Leech Missiles. Then Dekker will try to take over the Transport. Once you clear the area of all Dragon fighters the mission will be over.

Okay, I thought I won the game, but now Admiral Blair is talking about using the Black Lance...
That's right. You've found the 'middle' ending. You got here by agreeing with Hawk more than Panther. Hawk is more than willing to kill civilians to further his goals - don't let Blair agree with him too much or he'll end up just like Tolwyn.
