Just how does the plot advance in Righteous Fire?
This is actually very different from Privateer. When you start the game, you can get missions from three different people: Tayla, at Pentonville, Lynn Murphy, at Edom, and Sandra Goodin, at Perry Naval Base. Completing two of these three series of missions will allow access to Masterson's missions at Oxford. Successfully completing these missions allows access to Monte's missions. Completing Monte's missions allows access to Admiral Terrell's mission. Completing these will allow access to the final missions, flown for a Retro who does not agree with the way the Church of Man is being run. An optional mission, flown for Roman Lynch in Basque, will clear any bad record you may have.

If I fail a mission, do I have to restore a saved game?
Another big difference from Privateer: if you go back to a fixer after failing a mission, the fixer will act as if you never took the mission in the first place. This allows you to accept the mission again and try again.

What missions do I fly for Tayla?
Mission 1: Move her personal effects from Pentonville to Sherwood.
Mission 2: Run Brilliance from Sherwood to Saratov in Prasepe.
Mission 3: Run Brilliance from Sherwood to Speke in Junction.
Mission 4: Run Brilliance from Sherwood to Basque in Pyrennes.

What missions do I fly for Lynn Murphy?
Mission 1: Patrol sector 44-p-1m.
Mission 2: Deliver supplies from Edom to Liverpool in Newcastle.
Mission 3: Deliver supplies from Edom to New Detroit.
Mission 4: Patrol Metsor.

What missions do I fly for Sandra Goodin?
Mission 1: Defend Nitir from all attacks.
Mission 2: Defend Charon in Hyades from all attacks.
Mission 3: Patrol New Caledonia.
Mission 4: Patrol Regallis.

What missions do I fly for Masterson?
Mission 1: Deliver books to Edom in New Constatinople.
Mission 2: Patrol Oxford.
Mission 3: Deliver artwork to Junction.
Mission 4: Escort a Drayman against Retro attack.
Mission 5: Deliver research equipment to Perry Naval Base.

What missions do I fly for Monte?
Mission 1: Transport Monte to New Detroit.
Mission 2: Go to Drake in Capella and pick up a package.
Mission 3: Patrol Pyrennes for Retros.
Mission 4: Kill Governor Menesh in the Troy or Regallis system.

What missions do I fly for Admiral Terrell?
Mission 1: Patrol Blockade Point Alpha.
Mission 2: Patrol Death, Pestilence, and War.

What missions do I fly for the Retro?
Mission 1: Go to Valhalla system and find the secret jump route to Eden by talking to the priest.
Mission 2: Jump to Eden and destroy Mordecai Jones, leader of the Retros.

What mission do I fly for Roman Lynch?
Roman Lynch wants you to kill Governor Menesh. In return he will hack the databases of the Kilrathi, pirates, Confed, and bounty hunters and clear your record. You will not be able to succeed at this mission until you have completed the first two missions for Monte. Monte will then also ask you to kill Menesh, and you can complete both missions at once. Once the mission is complete, Lynch will hack the databases again for you if you pay him 120,000 credits.

Where is Governor Menesh?
Once you've accepted Monte's mission to kill Menesh, he will appear at a random jump point in the Troy or Regallis systems. When you meet him, he will taunt you, sic his waves of hired guns on you , and jump through the point. Kill all of his escorts, then jump after him. You'll find him on the other side of the jump point and will now be able to kill him.

Where is the secret jump point in Valhalla?
Talk to the priest in the temple at Valhalla, and he will give you a vague clue about Jones' forces gathering "near the moon of Eden". Take off, then immediately turn towards Valhalla's moon and fly towards it. About halfway there you will come across a jump sphere. Jump through it to Eden system. Patrol Eden and you will eventually find Mordecai Jones.
