How do I get out of my cell?
- That nursebot is just too annoying to let live. Kick it around and it will eventually fly into the force bars, short-circuiting them.
How do I get out of Security?
- Use the monitors at the back of the room to turn off the force bars to all cells (except number two). Get Dane's logbook. Use the monitor in the foreground to activate the nursebot. Guide it out of the cell and have it pick up Cain's severed arm. Move the nusebot near the handprint scanner and type Cain's security code (from Dane's logbook) into the computer. The doors will open.
What do I do in the Cryogenics room?
- Walk to the back of the lab and you'll see a button and a valve. Press the button to open the iris in the floor. Turn the valve to drain the cryofluid. When you hear an audible warning stating that cryofluid levels are dangerously low, turn the valve again and the cryofluid will stop flowing. Press the button and the iris will close.
Now access the monitor near the door. The temperature in one of the cells will shoot up, and you'll see a cyberaptor bust out of it's holding cell. Run to the iris. Let the cyberaptor come to you, then fight it using low kicks. Once you knock it out, run over and press the button. That will drop it into the coolant pit. You will immediately hear the sounds of the cyberaptor and the pit monster fighting. Turn the valve and you'll freeze both monsters solid. You may now go safely down into the pit.
Walk along the catwalk (careful, it's slippery) until you get the end. You'll see three holes. Climb into the one on the right to get to cell two. If you go into either of the others, Lex dies.
How do I kill the Security Bot in the Reactor room?
- Go back to the room where you got the hardsuit and use one of the monitors to control the forklift (gray machine) in that room. Steer it to the reactor room and push the big metal Security Bot off the ledge.
No matter what I do, the Reactor always explodes and I die!
- You saved in the reactor room. Go back to a previous save game and NEVER save in the reactor room.
How do I deal with the Drogg in the reactor room?
- Go into the reactor room and turn on the bridge. Once you step on the bridge, you will have ONE MINUTE in which to do everything. Run across the bridge. Ignore the Drogg. Instead, run to the right or left and pull one of the large switches down. Now run back onto the light bridge and shoot the Drogg two or three times. Once it comes after you, finish running across the bridge and turn it off. Once the Drogg is gone, turn the bridge back on, then run over and flip the other large switch. Use the monitor in the center and you'll see how much time you have left (usually ten seconds or less). Put in the code and hit Power Down.
If you don't drop one switch before dealing with the Drogg you won't have enough time to do it later.
If you try to drop both switches before dealing with the Drogg, the Drogg will turn off the bridge on you instead.
When I get out of the operating room, there are guards there that I can't kill.
- This will happen if you do not shoot down the dropships. Make sure you shoot down both dropships before going to the operating room.
Okay, how do I shoot down the dropships?
- Get in the elevator and select level one. Once the doors open, stay in the elevator, and bounce shots off the back to hit the guardbots. Walk around the tower until you see the guard. Shoot the guard ONCE and Lex will say, "Turn on the main gun, damn you!" Walk toward the guard with your gun ready until he tells you the main gun is active. Shoot down both ships. If you don't hit both, then the one you missed will kill you when you try to walk away from the gun.
How do I kill the mechbot guarding the door to the outside?
- Like most guardbots in this game, he doesn't lead his shots at all. Walk back and forth in front of him. When he fires, and you can see that his shot will miss you, hit him one time with the blaster. Then start moving again. If he hits you ONE time you're dead, so be alert!
I can't get past the acid beast when I try to leave the dropship.
- You need to use the key device from Captain Tumolt's body to open the cockpit. There is a missile launcher monitor that you can use to shoot missiles at the acid beast. Fire one missile to see where it will hit. When the acid beast's head moves over that spot, fire another.
How do I open the doors to the dig site?
- You must first kill Captain Tumolt and the acid beast. Then save your game! Go up to the missile lying on the ground. Drop your blaster. Ready the Alien Cube. Use the missile, and Lex will open it and pick up the warhead. Immediately run under the dropship's wing. Use the alien cube to get across the acid lake. Walk over the acid beast's body to get to the cubes. Climb up the cubes, then use the alien cube one last time to cross the gap. As soon as you are on the other side, put the alien cube in inventory. Climb up to the catwalk and run down it. Guardbots will shoot at you, but if you keep moving they will miss. Run into the dig site tunnel. Run to the end of the tunnel. Drop the warhead. Note: if you did not put the alien cube into inventory, you'll drop it instead! Run out of the tunnel. If you have not wasted any time, you should be able to get back to the cubes before the warhead goes off. Go get your gun, then come back and enter the dig site.
How do I use the tubeway station?
- The codes for the different tubes in the tubeway station are (counting the top square 0 and then go right 1, 2, 3, etc. The one in the middle is 8.
Zero G Room = 2, 4, 6, 8
0 7 1 6 8 2 5 3 4
Gravity Ring = 1, 6, 8
Dig Site = 0, 6, 8
Alien Temple = 1, 4, 6, 8Matching one of the patterns for the upper tubes will only release a monster that Lex will have to fight.
Whenever I go into the Gravity Ring room, Lex dies!
- You must have the Reflector Cube activated. It protects you just like a hardsuit.
How do I clear the debris in the Gravity Ring room?
- If the platforms were numbered one to six from left to right, you would step on them in this order:
4, 1, 6, 4
How do I solve the puzzle with the different colored hexes?
- One solution is: Green, Red, Purple, Yellow, Green, Purple, Green, Red, Green, Orange, Purple, Blue, Purple, Blue, Purple, Yellow, Purple, Blue, Orange.
I can't get the Icarus to take off.
- Put the blue battery the alien gave you into it, and Lex will then automatically climb up and launch.
