Set by software. In DOS these settings can be changed with HWSET.EXE and in WIN95 they can be set with the device manager. You may add HWSET to the AUTOEXEC.BAT to make sure this card keeps the settings you need. The line should look like this :
C:\GALAXY\UTILITY\HWSET /sba:220 /sbirq:5 /sbd(ma):1 /gpa:e
It may be necessary to use
C:\GALAXY\UTILITY\CONFIG
to change the settings on this card as HWSET will not
work at times.
Defaults:
I/O : 220 (First I/O digital)
IRQ : 5
DMA : 1 (8 Bit DMA sound channel)
Sound Blaster Pro OPL 3
The volume on this card may be set using VOLSET. It is a graphical mixer unless used with switches.
EX : C:\GALAXY\UTILITY\VOLSET /X:16,16 /V:16,16 /F:16,16 /C:16,16
/MS
/MR : Reset to default settings
/MS : Save current settings
/V:l,r : Sound Blaster Voice volume level
/X:l,r : Master volume level
/F:l,r : FM/Wavetable volume level
/C:l,r : CD Volume
Where : l is the left volume level value,
and r is the right volume level value

Sound Galaxy cards and the cards based on this chipset may be the sturdiest of the Sound Blaster Clone cards. These cards come bundled with software to help change some settings, however, in many cases these cards still need no lines to run properly. It is a good idea to add them, however, since they take no memory.
WIN95 does have a tendency to turn down the volume on
these cards, this should not be a problem if you add VOLSET to your shortcut.
If everything else in the game is working but you are getting no sound,
this is probably what has happened.
