I can't get more than 20% thrust, my wing man shoots me down, and when I press "A" I'm ejected from the cockpit.
- You failed the copy protection during floppy install or a cheat may have been used in the game. Exit the game and restart. If necessary, load a previous save game.
I'm trying to install the Speech Pack and when I type SPEECH, I drop to DOS.
- Type SPEECH -A instead (this will disable the autodetection)
My rudder pedals don't work, or, I can't select rudder pedals as an option.
- Rudder pedals are supported on the CD version, and Tac Ops. But not the floppy version of Strike Commander.
- If you have the WCS Mark II Joystick, make sure that the red switch is set to digital and the black switch is set to analogue. These switches are on the WCS itself.
My game asks for joystick calibration when I don't have a joystick.
- In the C:\SC directory, type: DIR > JOYA.DAT. You must calibrate the joystick in the game when you eventually attach a joystick.
The game asks for a second joystick to be calibrated when I don't have one.
- In the C:\SC directory, type: COPY JOYA.DAT JOYB.DAT.
When flying, I only see sky, or my view goes straight up.
- In the C:\SC directory, type: DEL JOYA.DAT to delete this file. Then run the game and recalibrate your joystick.
- The Hat Switch is not being calibrate correctly on the joystick
- You may need a speed adjustable game card if you are completely unable to calibrate. This has to due with the high speed of your computer, causing issues with the 8 bit speed of the current game port.
