The game has been in development for a while and a demo is already available. The game begins with a fighter pilot or small starship commander that must work their way up the ranks. Ultimately a carrier with full fighter wings and escort ships can be directly controlled. The game also has a strategic element where deployment of the resources under the player's command can be coordinated. The game will include all manner of cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes, plus modding tools for fans to improve the game. Items, ships and locations can be created with the included software to enhance the universe. The scope of the space combat side as well as the integrated strategy interface are what make this one stand out. Here are a few screenshots.
