This actually started a couple of weeks ago. You missed the first episode of everything.
Fortunately, the really badass stuff in Gundam 0083 doesn't happen until about halfway through. Be on the lookout for HOT MOBILE ARMOR ON MOBILE ARMOR ACTION, and also, finally, nuclear-armed Gundams (in direct violation of the Antarctic Treaty! I wonder why nuclear warheads are illegal, but it's still okay to have Gundams with unstable nuclear hearts and to drop gigantic space colonies on continents and vaporize them, and also to have Gundams with huge satellite cannons [Gundam X] that can blow up said space colonies in one shot?) Gundam 0083 also has a halfway-okay dub, although Anavel Gato doesn't sound anywhere near as hardcore as he does in Japanese. I'm really glad they left the intro uncut, since it's one of the best in the series, right up there with Zeta Gundam's. The intro song changes after episode 6 too, but the new one won't be quite as cool.
Oh yeah, my screensaver is now a neat flapping Zeon flag. I have to hide it from people though because it looks ridiculously similar to a Nazi flag. If anyone wants it, lemmie know.
"Pilot Candidate" is actually "Candidate for Goddess", but they changed the name because they don't want to make God angry, or something like that. Also, they're showing Yuu Yuu Hakusho, which I hear is sort of exactly the same in both content and quality as Dragon Ball Z.
: Saturday night on CN, Adult swim has what appears to be a kick ass line up from 11-2. The midnight hour brings Pilot Candidate (which until last night, had not heard of) and Gundam 0083 which looks kool.
