Laurel Buckley was captured by the Kilrathi and taken to a slave labor camp when she was only ten years old, but she was liberated by Confederation marines when she was twenty. After her liberation, she spent time in regression therapy. Then they tried to bury the memories, which wasn't a complete success. Only an identity overlay would have wiped everything, but she refused.
She went through re-education and spent a lot of time talking to Confederation Intelligence after her liberation, and graduated from flight school with top honors and was assigned to the TCS Hermes, but was later rotated to the TCS Victory where she won a pilot of the month on 2669.090.
Buckley never trusted Ralgha nar Hhallas, and she was proved right not to when Ralgha killed her during his attempt to return to the Kilrathi. |
