What Kind of Person is Blair?

Finder of things, Doer of stuff
A thought occured to me while playing with the Video from WC4 DVD. While you, the player are essentially the main character in the games, there are some preset charachteristics upon which the character of Blair revolves. In WC4 it's almost like the aplication of this becomes its own little sub plot mostly noticable in the choices of interactions with either Hawk or Panther. Is Blair a killer, or does he kill because of a deeper sense of purpose and duty?

As an example, consider the end of WC3. The whole game is made in a way so that we understand the desperation of mankind. Blair has a heavy weight on his shoulders. To stop the war he must destroy Kilrah. When I first played through the last mission I was dissapointed at how muted the concluding cinematics were but now I realize the importance of the final tone. Why should Blair feel happy about destroting a whole world along with everyone on it? even if they are Kilrathi. On the long ride home, whether or not you chose either flint or rachel, Blair has a lot to contemplate... was the cost to high...

Now, back to wc4, as I was piecing together a sort of playlist to be able to watch all the videos in a logical order so as to not be thoroughly confused, I wondered:
As much as I really love seeing Maniac get "Decked" in the nose, Is it more true to blairs character for him to step in? The same goes for most other choices..

What do you think? What choices are more true to the character that we see in the movie/wc1/wc2/novels/academy/prophecy etc.?

I always did the nice stuff. Maniac never got decked, the Superbase never destroyed and so on when I was really playing.

I always thought it was better to side with Manaic, true Decker would have to do missions for you, but you would have to fly with Manaic, and it's better to have a Wingman who will look out for you, than one who just doesn't care. And The Flashpack is really only useful (In my Book) against the Vesuvius, why kill 30,000 (that's right isn't it?) fellow Humans (yes, they're the enemy at that moment, but still you're people) when you can take out a Carrier that stands between you and saving the Galaxy (Kinda)
