I just want to note first off that this post isn't to ask for help, but to help others that might encounter this problem.
I've been trying to get prophecy to run using the high-res movie/game and no-cd upgrades, but the game itself would never start to play. I checked the compatibility (95 and 98/ME were tested), reinstalled, fresh installed, and even just making a clean install with no upgrades. Nothing worked.
So in an attempt to get it working, I tried setting the compatibility to XP SP2....and what do you know, it actually worked. Now I'm going to see if I can't the game to play with the upgrades.
