I just thought I'd throw this out for discussion.
I was thinking that if a Wing Commander TV show is really in development, you gotta admit the information is well beyond thin, I thought it might be fun to throw around opinions and ideas of what direction the show should take.
Should it follow Blair or maybe someone else?

Personally I think it would be cool to follow Bondarevsky through the Gettysburg mutiny onward. But I also think the show's best option for success would be to follow a new crew and ship that's in a similar mold. Because Blair's story, and that of the rest of the pilots he's commanded, has already been explored through the games, novels, and the movie. And the movie could very well color the opinions of potential viewers who aren't familiar with WC.
 
Personally, I think it would be cool if people stopped bitching that theres no information. Seriously, for crissakes, I wish no one mentioned PNR (Or Ascension or whatever they'll call themselves next week) or the possibility of a WC TV show. All people seem to do is bitch that there's no news.

The CIC will report news when there is news. Anything else is pointless conjecture.
 
I don't think his intent was to complain, but rather to throw out some ideas for the fun of it. I think it would be cool to maybe focus on a character other than Blair, but in the exact time period. Perhaps have Blair be on some episodes, meeting up with our hero. Who knows? Only time, and the news updates at CIC, will tell.
 
It seems someone starts a thread that goes "Wouldn't it be cool if the WCTV show had...". It's about as tiring as hearing all those internet jokes, ala "All Your Base..."

I'll just quietly go off and shoot myself. ;)
I just put this thread out to see what kind of ideas everybody had about the show, not to to bitch about the lack of news!
I just wanted to find out what everybody would like to see. You know a friendly little discussion about the possibilities.

Hey Shaggy don't worry about them. Someguys If they have been around for awhile tend to get this asshole complex to them. I haven't been around that long so I ain't gonna jump on to many people but If I feel very strong about something I'll get in there face. But some people come with the asshole gene already. If I get that way someday I will probably be banned from the forums. But don't leave or stop posting because someone got a little upitty with you dude. I got bashed for saying something stupid and I deserved it but people bashing you about this forum is f'd up cause Its not stupid and Lehah just cause you have heard it before doesn't mean the newer members have so quit being a jerk.

Heh, a perfect example of why you should never regard a person's rank as an indication of how long he or she has been around. Shaggy was here long before you ever showed up :).
 
I'm not stupid, I checked, I was making reference to the people who don't post much and the newbies coming in. yeah I have been around 16 days or so but I have posted several times and seen what type of reaction I get. So Quarto do you have the asshole complex too? you know when you've gotten a tiny bit testy with me I shrugged it off but you seem to not be as nice as you put yourself out to be. Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe I'm not? :rolleyes:
 
It simply seemed silly to me that you would talk to a guy who's been here for a year in this "I speak from experience" tone. And the smiley at the end of my post made it pretty clear that I wasn't trying to offend you. Now please, stop overreacting - you've been complaining about people being assholes a bit too often lately.
 
I have sent a PM to Quarto as a peace offering because I don't dislike him (I actually have alot of respect for him and I like him). He just has really been critical of every tiny post I have made lately and were rubbing each other the wrong way. I cool it if he backs off on me a bit.:D

I'm with the mav-man on this one...

As for the thread topic; I would like to see a new crew and a new ship as well. There's only so much you can do with the same characters over and over before it inevitably gets a bit redundant. But who knows, I'm sure it will be good whatever it turns out to be.:)

Hmmm... Doomsday Plague: 1st Lieutenant is 16 days!? This is bordering on strange....

You weren't here at the begining of the ranking system, when three or four of us were racing up the ranks insanely quickly. :)
