Time to meet up again and get our WC historian juices flowing.

We are still working on WC1 mission entries and but have quite a bit done in the ones that are already created. I'm devoting the next few days to filling in WC1 script data and then working on creating the remaining articles and filling in USG text.

Everyone who is interested in helping should attend. I can't do this project entirely on my own so I'm appealing for help.

Log onto #wingnut and learn a thing or two.
 
After working with the WC1 script tonight in conjunction with Wedge's site I have to say that once you figure out the formating of the script (Briefing, debriefing, then preflight convos) it's actually fairly easy to incorporate the text into WCPedia.

I posed the question of what to do about the ending series text (McAuliffe/Gateway Terran Research Center text/image)

I'm interested in what people think we should do. Should we do like Wedge has done and include it at the end of the final mission in the series or include it in some other way?

I'm leaning towards doing it in the same lines that Wedge has done. Any other ideas?

I've been doing some thinking and think that perhaps my overzealousness concerning WC1 may have put some of you off working on the project. Please don't take my words to mean that you can't go into WCPedia and work on any article you feel confident about. I just wanted to make it clear that the main effort is on WC1, but any and all contributions are appreciated.

If you want to work on WC3 characters, then by all means go ahead, if you don't know everything about said article, don't worry, make sure to leave notes for others to see to know that areas need to be filled.

If you want to be strictly a ships person, making WCPedia ship entries like the Ships 2.0 database, then by all means please do. If you have a question regarding something (say creating those great 5 angle shots) by all means ask and we can tell you how to do them.

I just want to make sure all of you out there realize you can work on any section you feel confident in. If you don't know something about a certain article, post it here to the CZ and I'm sure we can talk it out to make sure we get all the information in there.

There is no need to scared of screwing anything up, no edit is permanent and you have a dedicated fanbase willing to help if a mistake is made. They will happen since none of us (save LOAF) knows the WC universe inside and out.

So that's my appeal for contributors. I'll continue to focus on WC1 and if others wish to help me, by all means please do. If you want to be a ships person, characters person, etc, by all means get your sources out and get working.

Unfortunately something has come up and I won't be able to attend tonight. Bit of an emergency, so I can't really get out of it.

Tonight we talked about a few things. TheFraix is going to start working on WCA episode articles, although we need someone who knows who to create infoboxes to create one for those articles. If you are interested drop me a line and I can tell you what the variables need to be included.

I'm going to continue to tackle WC1 mission entries. I'm going to finish filling in the ones that already exist before creating any more since you can easily lose yourself in the mix with so many to fill in.

Overall it was a productive session. We'll keep everyone posted.
