WCP/SOPS numbers

Hi!
What do the numbers after the mission mean in WCP/SOPS when you check e.g. the flight history? I.e. :"Ella 7031.0A : Phase Focus"
Do they mean anything we know?

It does not seem that anyone else has a different idea. Well then, thanks Wedge. It also sounds more or less logical, although it would have been easier to call them Ella1, Ella2 and so on, instead of Ella.189XXT3s7u . But it will be just that this way it looked more important and some jerk would ask about it in a Forum.
So thanks again Wedge.

Probably just some fancy thing to add to the mission title or something, make it look important since the whole thing is secret ops. That would be my guess.

It adds to the atmosphere of the game. Have you ever seen a movie, where the location of something secret was not in code?

Well its almost like how they name cars. Take a Lincoln for example, just a plain ol Lincoln by itself, but add "Town Car" to that name and it adds distinction. Like Corvette Stingray adds to Corvette, or Buick Park Avenue. Fancy names for fancy names!!

Well, they weren't that complicated. But, yeah, it's probably just like that to make the mission labels look fancy.

No, Its "If we miss a lot of ships that are making a worm hole and are beating the day lights of of us, we will send one ship to handle it"

Yeah, but what does that say about the bugs? They got their butts kicked by one ship, and six pilots who stumbled on them accidentally?

It was a small Bug fleet, besides the Cerebus most of the time have other CoFed ship/bases to help. only in very few episodes (I can only remenber the first one right now) its alone.

Yeah, Cerberus was alone only in the first episode -- after that, we had a whole lot of help -- the Tereshokova battlegroup, the MSH, Talos Station, Cygnus Station, the Foehammer, the Midway...

Yeah, I think you are all right. These numbers makes it cool and more "Top Secret" like. And we encounter more bug fighters in SOPS (Cap ships I am not sure) than in WCP. That must mean that most of the Nephilim fleet escaped the wormhole destruction. Makes you wonder that no one detected a fleet such large. I guess it is due to some scary bug technology... :)

Uh, we had the mission numbers in WCP as well. Plus the Sol Sector invasion was from a new wormhole, y'know.

Yes, I know we had the numbers in WCP as well but they were there for the same reason as in SOPS: to look cool.

I was never sure if not the fleeing bugs from Kilrah flew to Proxima and opened from there the Wormhole. But I guess the refugees did not have the resources to open such a gate.
