Not to be outdone, Microsoft has issued their own press release about Wing Commander Arena! They also confirm that a second game XBLA will be released on Wednesday - a port of Super Contra at the 400 MSPoint price level. Hopefully this means that we will see an Arena page at Xbox.com very soon. The new release is more specific about the exact time of Arena's launch: -- Original update published on July 23, 2007

Yeah, I think it might be a bit of a miswording. The 18 different ships *are* the customizations (three "customizations" of six main ships) as far as I know. Powerups are more temporary tweaks.
Well, if I just keep practicing my flying skills for sixty or so years, I should be ready to take the Cats on. At first I thought LOAF made a typo; then I clicked the link and found the press release had the same thing. I remember reading somewhere that Arena was set in the 2700s, however. That's probably what they meant.
It should read 2701 - Microsoft's mistake. FOX did the same thing with the WC Movie - their material said it was 2564.
