Perhaps it is some kind of targeting computer.

It's computer filler info, very popular on WC HUDs.

That is... a high tech... maguffin sensor.

I'm thinking the 'addon' turret was probably originally designed to add a target VDU (a big complaint about WC2 in 1991)... but they never implemented it.

It looks like some kind of weapons status screen as it stands -- could be the two rear guns and little readouts about them...
