When ever I die my tractor beam stops working... I think this problem also happens when i load. I think it actually stops not just disapears and this happens always after I die. Also sometimes after I jump all of the ships of a shiney metallic finish, but this never happens until after I jump. Just thought you'd like to know :)

Definitely happens after a re-spawn, sometimes after a load duing a working game. If your beam, tractor OR repulsor, is on an autotargeting mount, you have no assurances you're on target or what.

After a jump? Haven't seen it, but I'm not discounting it.
