OK, gotcha. Just never heard it referred to as negative energy before. I've thought of it as sort of an anti-energy, because negative would merely be determined by your point of view. The bugs could view negative energy as positive for all we know.

For future debate: Chern, the prefix anti- reffers to the negative of what follows. If it's not stated. the measure is relative to the standard refference for that measure. For energy, the standard is 0 energy, units don't matter since 0 is 0 in this case.
