Despite confusing Kilrathi and Dralthi and Drayman with space stations, this July 1994 review of Super Wing Commander for 3DO is lavish in its praise. From the graphics to the gameplay, everything gets a big thumbs up. So then it is a little odd that the final score is only seven out of ten. "Escort(ing) a space station" would be rather...dull, wouldn't it? I always thought it was strange that they made such major changes to some of the designs for SWC - the iconic Tiger's Claw boiled down to a rather boring looking box, for example. What's the deal there, guys? Have we ever found out whe changes were made?
