You must be thinking of WC Kilrathi Saga; there's no WAY Proph. Gold should fetch anywhere NEAR that!!...

...that is, not unless the Canadian dollar has devalued a LOT since the last time I was up there...

Considering the fact that he said he was just looking at the auction and mentioned the product's title by name, I find it highly doubtful that he's mistaken.

no it was Prophecy Gold.... I know that KS sells for a lot... I have Prophecy but I have never played the Secret Ops so I was temped to get PG but at the time, there wasn't an auction on eBay for I just got Prophecy for $5 US

Prophecy Gold sometimes goes rather higher than it should... if you watch for a while you should be able to find a more reasonable price.

Are there any movies at all for the SO missions or does it just go form mission to mission... I know that they they didn't film anything like games past but are they any computer graphics scenes?

k thanks... i think i'll try and pick it up... also, with KS, does that come with all the Secret Missions?

thanks... now i just have to get KS... did they change any of the games for KS... like did they add the Hobbes scene or anything?

I don't believe that they intentionally changed anything, but Wing Commander II's poor conversion resulted in it not playing nearly as smoothly as the original did. Quite frankly, it'd be more fulfilling to obtain an old 386 and play the DOS versions of the game on it.

that's a shame really b/c WC2 was such a great game... i didn't get the chance to play it until this summer but i loved it.... suprisingly it worked find on my P3-450.... it was a littel fast and i have to read the subtitles like mad but it worked.... i still play WC1 (SNES verison) on my laptop... same goes for the second WC game for the SNES

You just need to read faster. ;) Or read this instead.

I think that they changed some of the music tracks and deleted some (in WCII)
I think the 'alternative' Kilrathi theme played in the SO1 intro is missing, but other than that, I don't think anything else was missing or substantially changed. Sure, Oldziey made some adjustments (like dropping much of the percussion in some tracks and getting rid of the orchestral hits), but not changing anything like making a new tune or something similar.

I love George's music to death, but nothing is better than hearing the original Bombing Run music from Wing Commander 2.
