I am unable to use privateer with both music and sound running. If I try to run privateer with arts enabled as suggested by others, privateer isn't able to run with either sound or music.
I'd like some suggestions.
I have already attempted to follow the suggestions given in other threads with linux and sound- I have arts running (xmms can use it, so I know its working) I've also enabled its ability to go over the network just in case that was part of the problem.
I have created a file in my user's homedir named .openal with the contents:
(define devices '(arts native))
I have checked and my firewall is not blocking connections to 127.0.0.1 - I can ping it, and attempts to connect to ports that aren't running services give 'connection refused' - since my firewall drops all connections rather than just rejecting them, I know that this doesn't appear to be firewall related. However I'm willing to entertain suggestions.
