Privateer 2: The Darkening

Ok, I have the P2 Delux edition and I want to install it on my XP machine. However, the installer isn't reading my disk space correctly. It is reading the as about 1% of what it actually is. Any thoughts?
 
that's an easy one.

privateer 2 is designed to read the old dos file system (FAT isn't it? my memory isn't so good)

windows 98 based systems are FAT32 and winNT/2k/xp are usually using NTFS. Privateer doesn't like this. it can't accurately read the space free up to 4 GB range i think.

here's an easy solution: note what space privateer 2 is reporting to be free. fill your hard drive up with whatever beyond that. now it should work. hope that helps.
 
quick fix

easiest solution that i found - privateer 2 installs into c:\dark (or whatever your hd letter is). simply create that file folder before you try to install the game. it should work
