Playing Secret Ops on Windows 2000

Hello,
Has anyone succeeded in playing Secret Ops on Win2K? The game is listed on the www.ntcompatible.com site but so far I have had no success in finding a solution.

There's a Win2000 patch for Prophecy, but I don't think the same has been done for SO.

i could never get that win2k patch to work here, would run for a few mins on the first mission and crash out, and Dr. Watson would load up.
