So, umm, I'm not really familiar with the original Privateer, but conceptually it's almost the game I've always wanted.

I was just wondering if there are any Star Wars mods that might use this engine. Not that I mind the Wing Commander universe, I just happen to like the ship designs from the Original Trilogy and the stuff based on that.

Anyway, just wondering. Thanks.

Oh, while I've got your attention, is there a way to start a game of this Remake where we can input a name and callsign?

There are a few underway dealing with different sci-fi universes, including Star Wars.

you can edit vegastrike.config and fill in the callsign variable and edit mission/explore_universe.mission and change your callsign from
flightgroup name="Privateer"
to
flightgroup name="Brown_Hair"
I think that will show up in news reports...
