hey, I just wasted all of my money on a voodoo 3 of eBay, and have no more mula for a Sound Blaster. If I were to strip off an older sound card from a 5-6 year old computer, would I have to use a driver? if so, do you think and older sound card like that would play WCP movies?

P.S. Yeah, I know this is kind of related to my Sound Card post... but this new post should draw more attention...
and I need answers people! :)
 
I had a ISA JAZZ old sound card, and play the movies fine...at least better than the sound card on board that i have , it crash and back to windows when play WCP :(
 
It depends, maybe your windows have a driver for your sound car, but is better to have one from the manufacturer.
 
that's the problem, I don't know what it is...
it's off of an old Packard-Bell, or packard something...
 
mmhhhhhh.......
install it on your mother and then run windows and try to autodetect,if not you must find in the chip what is the manufacturer.
