well what specs do you need?

size, weapons (approx. no need to get fancy) how many fighters it can reasonably hold, crew (approx) top speed (there isn't much in the database on this ship). I dont need exact nunbers, just reasonably close
Thanks :)

And according to my ingame count, there are 8 anti matter guns and also I say 32 dual laser turrets (LOAF and others say no, but I just played through the Vesuvius vs St. hellens mission and counted a total of 32 laser turrets). Is that good for you $tormin and supdon3 is right about the 400 fighters.

well, I counted 32 turrets in WCIV, and I consider WCIV a better athority on the Vesuvius considering you see them in alot of missions when in WCSO you only see it in one quick cutscene

thanks you guyz :D
now i need the dimensions.
oh, and do you think one of those things can handle a PTC? in the SD the big V is mine and im gonna kick some imp ass :D

I would think there was room to mount a PTC somewhere considering the size of the Vesuvius class and that by then they probably found a way to make it smaller than the keel of a Confederation class ship. Technology refinement and all.

Yes it can mount a PTC weapon but PTC weapons do have a problem with overload and blow up, taking the ship along.

Like i said, with technology refinment and 20 years to do it, they probably could have taken care of that little problem.

Perhaps, but if they did the Plunkett Class, being designed to carry the heaviest guns, would have it installed.

wasn't the problem with ptc's that they would overheat? solution, allow cooling off time between shots.
thanks, now the awsome PTC has been added to my shopping list. unfortunatly it is a long list :( but i am working on it :)

Not necessarilly, they probably figured it would be better to multiple heavy guns than one really heavy gun that it would probably only be able to support.

What are doing with the Vesuvius in the first place?
PTC guns could be around, just be careful not to make your ship a I-can-kill-everthing-with-my-fighters-or-with-my-guns type.
The Vesuvius are powerful enough without a PTC gun mounted.

not the vesuvius, a vesuvius. the SD i am doing is all inclusive that means almost everything short of the culture is allowed. Me and Silence are the only defenders of WC so we have to make a good showing. i picked an escort carrier and someone picked an executor SSD so i changed my ship to the best all around ship i could think of. and once i get my ptc and a few steltek guns, them imps are gonna pay *evil laughter*

The ship comparison chart has it at 1600 meters
That chart is hardly the most accurate source... actually, it's the last source you'd want to be looking at.

Erm, even if you did count 32 turrets in the game, it is hardly the real number... The Concordia has only 7 AM guns in the game, but the official number is 8, and it this case 32 turrets aren't the official number.

But it just looks so cool. Well except the Tallahassee size thing. Sure its based on game stats but it just seems to small.
