Music for next WC game

I was happy with all WC-game inflight music, orchestra/classical as well as WCP sim music. Though I think for the sake of tradition, I'd prefer the old style of classical WC music.

Hmmm....

For regular in-flight music.... "Lorenzo" by Motor Ace
For some battle music probobaly "Cemented Shoes" by My Vitriol or "Lazy Eye" by the Goo Goo Dolls
And if something bad happens like you fail the mission... die, eject... lose a wingman etc... "The Man From Harold Wood" by the Matthew Good Band..... that would be cool.

I was wondering...
For inflight missions, would you guys stick to the current "classical" background music (i.e. orchestras), or would prefer something more modern (like I don't know... techno)?

The Enterprise pop music? :p

So you too get visions when you hear that song, do you? It would probably be great for when you're flying, but I think that in battle, it would go to waste. I have to admit that the techno/lounge idea is also fairly good. Has anyone ever played Hardwar?

HEAVY METAL
Yeah, but are we talkin' real metal here, or the fake kind we see on MTV. And Metallica and Megadeth don't count, because they're sissies.

They're sissies now, but what I wouldn't give to have seen Metallica in '85, when Cliff was still alive and kickin' ass. Master Of Puppets, Ride the lightning. Now those are great albums. Ya can't deny that, Frosty.

Yeah I would've liked to see them back then too, but I'll settle for seeing them now too, they still put on kick ass live shows and I think Load/Reload are quite good, depending on what mood I'm in. Right now I'm in a Mercyful Fate mood. :D Although I hate their lyrics.

To each his own.

I'd rather Sepultura or Slayer than them.

Or SOULFLY!!!!!!

Max Cavalera still kicks ass.

Metallica started going to hell after the succes of Nothin' else matters and the black album. At that point they became too commercial. Have you never seen them, Unforgiven? It's true, they whale live. Werchter '99 was the best. The whole set they played was ancient. They only played one recent song (if I remember correctly: the memory remains), the rest were classics.

Hey, I've got an idea. Lets do the next WC about Maestro, then we can get the backstreet boys to do the music. Yaay :p

I've not seen them. I plan on going next time they come to the Netherlands. Or Belgium... or Luxembourg... or Germany... or France. Within a days driving proximity anyway! :D
I've got the S&M video, the Cunning Stunts DVD and the Fan Can #4 video and they are all great^2(squared).
I don't think Metallica has really gone commercial. If their only intent was to sell Load and Reload would've sounded exactly like the Black album. Or at least Reload would after they discovered Load wasn't as successful as Metallica.
And playing with a symphony also isn't a sure-fire way to success for a metal band. (a little back on topic, I think the S&M version of Ktulu would also make good WC music)
At the very least I prefer what Metallica does to bands that repeat themselves again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again... sorry what was I saying?

HEAVY METAL

In that case, Iron Savior (especially the outer-space themed "Unification," album) tunes would do very well during combat or even escort missions. Talk about adrenaline rushes....

Though I admit that Metallica has become more "weak" I still like their newer songs. But I don't think that Heavy metal would appeal to me while playing WC.

I preffer like others here the Orchestrial type in FMV, Openings, endings, etc
But sadly i don´t put In-flight music, just seems un-natural to me :(

I'll go with the answer I have always used. the next WC game should have music that fits the mood of the story. If this is orchestrated or hard rock, it doesnn't matter. What matter is if the music reflects the tale being told.
