Movie best parts!

Cadfael

Spaceman
Hello i am new to this forum and i just wanted to ask which are your favorite parts in the movie?

I love the first 10 minutes the opening scene especially when you hear the narator say that war startet this morning!! And then you see the Pegasus base being destroyed!.
I even think that the interior ship design in the movie is way cooler than in the games!!
what do you think?

Argh Cadfael, you're already on my Black List!! LOL
Just kidding!

A movie sympathizer!! They exist? :p

To answer your questions, I have no favourite parts, b/c I think the movie suc*ed as*!!! I won't go again on the list of differences and dicrepancies with the WC game universe, but it was real disappointment for a WC fan... :(

As for the WC ship interior... WOW... were you wearing sunglasses in the movie theatre?
For me, it looked like as if they had been made of cardboard!! Even the virtual ones from WC III were better!!
(best ones being of course those from The Price of Freedom)

HMM

Well ive been a wc fan since wc1 and personally i think the movie is just different but not bad.
As for the ship interior i didn't like the ones in wc 4 they looked rather B movie like.
Wc 3 still rules on that. But why do people not like the movie i mean ok fighter ook crappy movie has hardly anything to do with the game but its something new and thats cool!
ah yes i saw the movie 6 times now and i still like it!

Ma favorite scene would have to be Paladin talking to Blair about the Pilgrims while looking into space...

And of course the start of the movie, with the declaration of war and that great music also deserves to be mentioned.

that was classic,it should never be forgotten

The beggining was really the only part I LIKED, other parts were ok, but I think they should have concentrated more on Kilrathi than Pilgrims. Also, I didn't like the interior of the ships. The bridge of the Concordia reminded me of a Star Destroyer.....

Loved the intro... actually, I loved most of the sets. The thing I thought was best done in the movie was the little touches -- the rec room having all those Confed posters in it, Blair and Maniac's cabin having Saranya Carr on the wall... mentioning Hornets at the beginning... the reference to Lt. Dibbles... IDing Dorkir on the target monitor during the recon mission -- stuff only WingNuts would appreciate.

For me, the battle scene where the Tiger Claw exchanges braodsides with the Kilrathi warship. Plus Tolwyn's exposition on the nature of the Kilrathi. "The rest of us are here to do just one thing..." Sent shivers down my spine. :)

Best, Raptor

Really if you look past the holes in the story that are missing because they took out the Pilgrim traitor story line and the fact that fighters wouldnt dip down after take off, the movie is quite enjoyable. Its definitly given me a greater appreciation of Freddy Prinze Jr.'s work :)

Mmmmhh, I guess you're right Supdon... one should look at the positive side... :)

Still, the movie could have been a lot better...

Definitly. We could be looking forward to a sequel right now if it had been, and probably another game to coincide with it.

Sequel? Mmmmhhh...

I guess that what we already saw was enough... LOL

Besides, the movie had such bad an effect on audience, that a sequel wouldn't attract many people, unless it's REALLY, REALLY well directed...

How would the success of the movie be in any way connected to future WC games? EA wasn't willing to make a new full scaled game even after the last one sold over 700K units, I doubt the movie would have had much success in convincing them to make a new one if that number didn't.

Youd be surprised how many movies go straight to video. Especially with some of the actors in them. Besides, WC was originally supposed to be straight to video i believe.

Really? Whooops, "talked without knowing" then... :D

What movies do you have in mind, that went "straight to video"? (apart from cheesy Disney sequels... :))

Well going way back, Tremors 2. Three of the Universal Soldier sequels. And there are lots of movies starring people like Heather Graham and Neve Campbell who are some of the bigger actors out there right now to name a few who you can go and find movies at a Blockbuster that never were on the screen. I found a Bruce Willis movie, Breakfast of Champions, had Nick Nolte and Omar Epps in it, made in 1999, that was never in theaters.
