I took some liberties with this though.

The head is a little smaller than I would like it though...

since you already noted the head, the only things I can think of that would make this picture better is if there was something that he was crouching behind.. and, of course, if the image was rotated 90 degrees to the right.

Its been noted also that he looks like he's taking a dump, by a close friend of mine

hehe.. not really.. its just that he's squatting for cover behind nothing If I was him in that position I'd be at a full run and diving somewhere less revealing

Hehe yeah. With my own art, I sketch *a lot* better than I can draw... But I think in my case it may just be a practice thing., though I've never really tried my hand at drawing Wing Commander stuff. But I do drafting by hand, which is more mechanical and deliberate than a particularly artistic style.
