We're now less than three months away from our annual meet-up at DragonCon. The scene below has our pilots taking a break after a long day to play the Wing Commander Card Game. Frosty and Lisa just returned with a box of different drinks. Now if we could just find a bigger table. What are the actual dates of Dragoncon this year? And what hotel do you always stay at again? Also...would you happen to know if there are any IT/IS conferences taking place in Atlanta prior or following Dragoncon? (Lol, I know you probably have no idea but I just thought I'd ask so I could try to talk work into paying my way. )

All the details are over at the DragonCon website. September 2-5 this year. http://www.dragoncon.org/dc_location.htm#Host_Hotels Atlanta Marriott Marquis is our hotel. No idea about IT, but there's an African American Southern Baptists Association conference and a Lesbian Pride convention there just prior to DragonCon.

Sweet...I found a Mercury Quality Center Business Process Testing course that runs from Aug 29 to Sept 2. I have submitted a request to my managers...we'll see what they say. If it is a yes then that should work out perfectly. Wish me luck.

Well, I thought I'd know by now but as of this moment the word is: Maybe. I'll let you know once I find out for sure. Let's hope. I looked up the hotel you guys stay at and its about twenty minutes away from where my course would be taught. Shouldn't be too bad. Only bad thing is that I'll have to be at class on Sept 2 (Friday) so I won't get to start until whenever class gets out. But as long as work pays...I don't care.

Most of us will be arriving on Thursday, so if you're there and free Thursday evening, there's plenty of time to do stuff. Convention registration opens on Thursday, and if you're going to be there late on Friday, you can handle some stuff before then. Think you can manage to extend the flight out until Monday evening?

If I get this approved I will definitely try my best to extend flight out till Monday evening. Should be no problem hanging out Thursday evening. Again, I hope to know more soon.
