Masterson's 3rd Mission, Impossible?

I am at Oxford and have to go protect a shipment of books (where the audio states "those books are going nowhere but my hold" or something like that). At the Nav, there are 4 Demons attacking a Drayman. No matter how fast I take out the Demons, they always destroy the Drayman before I can get them all.

How can this mission be done? What am I missing?
 
I finally beat it. I toned the Shields down a level to have more gun power, loaded up on the dumbfire rockets and just fired like a madman at them.
