the fish was delish and made quite a dish.

Looks like you need to take parkin' 101 again, JKeefe ;-) ;-)
*sigh* the guy almost slammed the hotrod into the door again! Took an hour to clear the scrap metal last time.

Did something similar to me at New Detroit. Moved it NOSE IN and almost inside the revetment. To launch I clicked over the launch pad, which was completely clear.

I can't remember if it was a respawn or not. It definitely doesn't do it every time you respawn on Perry - I've done that plenty :)

to be expected. You don't launch by clicking on your ship, but on a predefined 2d section of the background which happens to be where your ship usually is :D

I've never seen one in the wrong place.. that makes it rather hard to track down. It's good for a screenshot though hehe

Did you get that line from the latest Strong Bad email?

Great screen shot.

And I've only had ONE misparked ship. I've been doing the re-spawn gig more and more, as I hone my flying skills against 20 or more fighters and. . .Only the one time for me. Gotta be a function of the re-load and the speed with which it's done. If something slows the process of the load, the sudden rush when the load is decreased can cause unpredictable results.

Kinda like packet loads across a network.

Interesting.
I've had three misparks now, all with the centurion. All when the game loads up. two on respawning, one on game boot. It ain't just respawn. Once at New Detroit, twice at New Constantinople.

just an odd placement of the sprite during load, I guess.

A tad off topic...

Out of curiosity, how well do you fare against large numbers of fighters like that? When I first saw one of those bounty missions where the target has some ridiculous number of escorts (30 for the mission I accepted) I thought "yeah, right, must be a bug or something" and tried to run the mission. I was actually rather surprised when I jumped in system and found myself facing 30 opponents.
I had my butt handed to me on a platter in very short order. :)

If I have the cash and they're available, I hire as many wingmen as possible.
Then, if I can reduce the odds to something like five to one, I manage to live. If not, I die. Horribly.

My but is handed to me in LOT of teeny tiny pieces.

I hade this problem to yesterday. But not only on the landing pad but also in the upgrade view.
Happend on New Constatinopel.
After launchinng and landing again everything was back to normal.
